If you are new to machine quilting or not comfortable with free-motion quilting this class is for you. Pam Clarke, a Longarm machine quilter since 1988 will guide you in this step by step no fuss-method. This workshop will cover how to mark a quilt top, several background stitches, and the seven basic quilt patterns to create unlimited quilt designs. You will be amazed how easy it is to do feathers, hearts, leaves, waves, etc. Using the pre-stamped sample provided in kit, practice these designs using the Handi Quilter Sweet Sixteen. And with a little bit of practice you will be amazed how simple this really is; you will be finishing those quilts tops faster than you ever thought possible.

Then watch how to stitch a full feather border by adding rooster tails to fill up the space.

Do you love the look of the Modern Quilts but think you need loads of experience to make one? Even if you are new to machine quilting you will gain the confidence on how to fill up those empty spaces with fun free-motion designs.

Discover how to turn those orphan or left over blocks into a piece of art.

I will have lots of samples and ideas for you to observe and take photos so you will be able to create your own.

My background Designs class is helpful but not needed. We will be working on a pre-drawn sampler for the student to fill in different designs.

With very little marking, stitch; touching hearts, loops, double loops, feathers, paisley, Herky jerky, onion stitch, orange peel, lazy hearts and lots of new designs not taught in previous classes in curves odd angles and borders then add a few leaves or circles after stitching or take it home and add your own applique.
