  What do I do with all these Wool Scraps?

Are you a wool "collector" and need ideas to use up some of your stash? During this class I will show you a variety of ways to use your odd shaped scraps as well as some of those long and narrow pieces you have accumulated. Learn how to make wool quills, a field of flowers utilizing small pieces of wool, free hand trimming and some simple stitching to create a cluster of blooms with stitches, beads and buttons. Also in the class will be a tri fold wool needle case and an introduction to project cards utilizing small templates to create your own designs. Class projects will be started in class and completed at home. Students should familiarize themselves with some basic stitches: blanket stitch, whip stitch, French knot and daisy stitch.

Kit includes: Hand dyed wool "scraps", project instructions, needle, thread and more!

"Fresh Flowers" is a fabulous opportunity to learn how to work with hand dyed wool and cotton fabric. The project is centered on a 18x22 piece of Ombre cotton. Students will work with fussy cut cotton flowers and bright wools to create their own bouquet.

This class is template free as students will be encouraged to create their own shapes including the vase. Techniques covered in this class are hand stitching wool onto a cotton background, stitching options, creative use of design space, along with an overview of embellishing and finishing options.

Kit includes: Hand dyed wool, Fat Quarter cotton fabric, thread, needle, freezer paper and instructions.

This teacher begins with a one-eighth miniature drawing and shows you how easy it is to follow good art elements to create your quilts. She'll show you how to transfer the design to a fabric. You can learn about how to design special feather motifs and which compositions are best for your quilt.

  The Art of Good Backfill for Beginners

  What Do I Quilt?

This award winning teacher will tell you what she considers when she decides and why. If time allows, we'll walk through quilt show and talk about why their quilting works.

Student supply list: Bring an unfinished quilt and camera. *Make sure you bring pass to get into the quilt show.
